Surrounded by the hills of Tuscany, this villa is an elegant residence tucked away near the quaint village of Sovicille. The property consists of a main villa with an independent wing, making it ideal for family reunions or getaways with friends. For smaller groups the main villa only can be rented (see 4793).  The villa is built in the typical Tuscan style, using local stone. Its architectural structure is a wonderful integration of natural materials and carefully selected details, and the lush interior decor features a range of antiques and deluxe furnishings. The stylish and sophisticated atmosphere is complemented by fantastic views of the nearby vineyards.

 

In the main villa, on the ground floor, you will find the drawing room which features comfortable furnishings, a cozy fireplace and an entertainment centre with TV, VCR, DVD, and stereo. There is a large fully equipped kitchen and a dining area that leads to a patio, ideal for dining al fresco amidst the beauty of the Tuscan landscape. Upstairs is a spacious living room which makes an ideal gathering spot and features a gaming table. There are two spacious bedrooms in the main villa, a king bedroom with an en suite bathroom with a small tub and handheld shower and a queen bedroom with a private bathroom with shower and a dressing room. There are a further two bedrooms and two bathrooms in the independent guest wing of the villa, each with their own independent entrance. The first entrance opens onto the Junior Suite, which features a queen size bed, open kitchenette, breakfast table, and a private bathroom with shower. The second independent entrance opens onto a spacious queen bedroom, which has an en suite bathroom with shower and direct access to the charming roof terrace.  The guest house features a cosy living room with kitchenette and dining table.  The master king bedroom features an ensuite bathroom with bath tub and shower and the queen bedroom has a private bathroom with shower. 

Outdoors there is a private porch with large dining table. A large terrace with outdoor furniture. Sophisticated lounging corners and a dining table by the pool. Gardens surround the property. Nearby woods are ideal for walks and mushroom picking in the fall.

Not to be missed is the local church "Pieve di San Giovanni Battista", or "Pieve di Ponte allo Spino" (as it is better known), was originally built in the second half of the 12th century. The Romanesque building has many similarities to contemporary French architecture. Also in the area is the enchanting Villa di Cetinale, renowned for its elegant gardens and stunning architectural beauty. The villa dates back to 1680 and was built by Carlo Fontana to satisfy the demanding tastes of cardinal Flavio Chigi, nephew of pope Alexander VII. Another impressive building is the nearby Castle of Celsa, which was converted into a villa in the 16th century, the Italian garden is unforgettable!
