This magnificent castle in which both the villa and restaurant are housed, was originally built by the Martinis brothers in the early 18th century to help protect the Split mainland and islands from pirate attacks as well as to develop a community to work the land. The property has now been restored to its former glory whilst retaining the traditional architecture and charm.
Inside there is a fully equipped kitchen and spacious living area, leading out to the pool and terrace. The kitchen is at your disposal if you wish to prepare our meals yourself or even have a professional cook prepare it for you.
Other facilities include a restaurant, bar, a conference room with internet and telephone access, a common room with television, music room with piano, breakfast terrace and a reception.
The 5 bedroom suites are all named, vary in size, individually designed and furnished.
The Kavanjin suite features a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom (with shower).
The Vitezovic suite features a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom (with shower) and magnificent sea views.
The Duke of Lorenski suite features double bedroom (with shower) and magnificent sea views.
The Von Erlach suite features 1 double bedroom with ensuite bathroom (with bath) and 1 twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom (with shower) and sea views.
The Duke Savoyski suite comprises of a living room, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with bath and separate shower.
This luxurious property boasts a beautiful heated swimming pool surrounded by a spacious sun bathing terrace, sauna and hamman.
The A-la carte restaurant with own private entrance which takes part of the castle is the only facility open to the public. In the restaurant you will enjoy various gastronomically delights. The restaurant terrace is west facing and offers great views over the bay, makes a perfect location for a quiet cocktail at sunset.
Larger groups can also rent the magnficant Karlo VI Imperial tower which is set over 4 levels, comprising of a living room with Plasma TV and telephone, a study with internet access, telephone and computer. The tower suite houses a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with bath and seperate shower. Additional features inclde a mini bar, telephone and 3 balconies with breathtaking sea views.
